I tried an anti-aging cream sample from a magazine and it made my skin look so plump and fresh! I heard that women start aging at around 25yrs old, do you think it’s okay to start using these types of rich moisturising products before then?

Why not? As long as you’re not struggling with normal teenage skin issues (acne) then it’s never too early to prevent early aging. Watch out though – most anti-aging products are extremely rich and oily, so if you have minor acne, expect it to get a bit worse. Teen’s pores are much more susceptible to be clogged up by heavy products, seeing as how our skin becomes more dry as we age, so watch out.

Hope everything goes well! Take care.

i look after my skin(now!)and have spent a fortune on creams, but feel i need to take more drastic action.i need something that will firm up my skin, erase wrinkles and generally just give it a boost really.wondered about microdermabrasion or some other non surgical treatments.wondered if anyone has tried any of these treatments and what results you saw.many thanks.

u can use pure vitamine E oil

how do i maintain healthy loolking skin. What i mean is will drinking more water help, what fruits or any type of food are known for an increase in skin improvement.

What can be done about skin rejuvenation as i have acne marks (not many) but some, how do i get rid of them.

Is there something that can speed/assist rejuvenation process?

no laser treatment, stuff like that.

I invite your answers

i used to have really bad skin, and i didn’t actually know it was that bad because my acne was mild but i went to see a skin specialist and they told me that my skin had alot of excess oil from the dirt in my pores which was making my skin un healthy.

i use Clearasil ultra deep pore scrub and i cleared my acne in 1 week!
she also told me to eat healthy and you can have the occasional take out or sweets just make sure your maintaining a healthy diet.

While referring to “acne skin care treatment” there is a minute discrepancy between this and “acne treatments.” Acne skin care treatment describes what can be done to impede acne if you already have it. Acne treatments, however, would be the second step in acne prevention. This is taken once you have cleared up all your previous blemishes.

Acne is not a disease but anyone suffering from acne will only wish for an overnight cure. This is obvious as nobody wants to have a disfigured face but practically this overnight cure is also not possible. However, with chemical peels for acne

& acne skin care treatment you can get your glowing skin back.

Acne is a term primarily used for plugged pores. These plugged pores can be blackheads and whiteheads or deeper lumps, and even pimples. They mainly occur on the face, shoulders, neck, back, chest, and the upper arms. Acne is a common problem and by acne skin care treatment

it can be easily cured too .

Teenagers or people in their 20s and 40s are usually affected by acne problems. It is certainly not a life threatening condition but can be upsetting and disfiguring. If acne is not cured within specific time it can lead to permanent scarring. People tend to confuse acne with other skin diseases. This is a wrong notion as acne can occur due to various reasons. However, it can be easily cured by acne skin care treatment provided at Advanced Laser Clinics.

Everyday our skin’s oil glands produce oil that lubricates our skin. When there is an overproduction of oil it starts getting trapped in blocked oil ducts. This blockage results in pimples, blackheads, and whiteheads occurring on the surface of the skin. It also includes deeper skin lesions called as cysts.

Acne can be easily treated with the help of acne skin care treatment . If you are experiencing acne then simply go for acne skin care treatment provided at Advanced Laser Clinics. Within 2 to 5 sittings of acne skin care treatment

your acne will be removed and your skin will be glowing back.

This acne skin care treatment is not only safe but also painless. By undergoing this treatment at Advanced Laser Clinics your acne will be eliminated from the pores. In other words, this acne skin care treatment is very easy and also painless.

If you are tired of your previous acne skin care treatment then simply go for the effective acne skin care treatment available at Advanced Laser Clinics. For more information on acne skin care treatment, chemical peels for acne and photo rejuvenation acne skin

Three years ago a hospital in England became the first in Europe to prescribe red wine to its patients. Speaking on BBC radio, Hugh Johnson, a world-renowned wine writer said, “It’s very positive news that a hospital is taking this holistic view.”

MY reaction to the hospital prescribing red wine at dinner was “HURRAY,” however, the medical and consumer press in the US barely covered this step forward in health care. Why? Many doctors in this country as well as the media avoid mentioning the benefits of drinking red wine in moderation because there is a medical and religious conservatism in this country that views alcohol as a “forbidden fruit”-drinking red wine of any amount will trigger alcohol abuse.

I think we should look at all of the facts together, because there are a mounting number of medical studies that can’t be ignored, pointing to the protective benefits of moderate red wine consumption.

We’ve come a LONG way since the health benefits of drinking red wine were first revealed in 1991 by “60 Minutes.” Since then many clinical studies, with tens of thousands of patients who have been followed over these many years, have shown that red wine, enjoyed in moderation, lowers the risk of many diseases.

HEART DISEASE is top of the list because it’s the number one killer in the US. Clinical studies have proven that, in moderation, men can lower the risk of heart disease by 50% by drinking two glasses of red wine a day. And women can reduce their risk by almost 30 percent, by drinking one glass of red wine a day.

What does red wine contain that makes it so heart-healthy? Red grape skins, seeds and stems all contain high concentrations of compounds called polyphenols – more commonly known as antioxidants.

CANCER is next on the list. The same antioxidants have now been found to attack destructive “free-radicals” which are harmful, naturally- occurring products that do cellular damage. Research studies now show, drinking wine in moderation will help prevent certain types of cancer such as prostate, colon and skin cancer.

And the roll-call of health benefits continues.

CATARACTS – In the spring of 2005, researchers in Japan and Iceland contended that moderate red wine consumption reduces the development of retinal cataracts by 50 percent.

KIDNEY PROBLEMS – In May of 2005, Boston’s Brigham and Women’s Hospital announced the results of a 14 year study on 11,000 middle aged male subjects and concluded that “there is an inverse relationship between moderate alcohol consumption and the risk of renal dysfunction.”

FLU – In the fall of 2005, the University of Minnesota’s Center for Infectious Disease Research & Policy announced that moderate red wine consumption could ward off the flu. This is because one specific antioxidant, resveratrol, “seems to block host-cell functions that are essential for viral replication.”

ARTHRITIS – In March of 2006, the American College of Rheumatology found that the antioxidant resveratrol could reduce the pain of arthritis by thwarting the activation of the gene Cyclooxygenase-2 (COX-2), which is suspected of creating the inflammation that causes arthritis pain.

ALZHEIMER’S – Late-breaking news, in October, 2006, New York’s Mt. Sinai School of Medicine announced that laboratory mice had their drinking water spiked with Cabernet Sauvignon from California for seven months with an equivalent of one glass a day. It slowed down the rate at which something called an amyloid precursor protein hardens into plaque, which is characteristic of a brain suffering from Alzheimer’s.

Bottom Line – I’ve concluded that most healthy people who drink red wine regularly and moderately live longer. Even if wine shouldn’t be viewed as a medicine, there is a HUGE amount of evidence that leads one to conclude wine is an important ingredient to a healthy and happy lifestyle.

Therefore, join me in toasting the many health benefits of red wine and say, “To a healthy pleasure!”

When you are shopping for and comparing labels on anti aging cream products, it can be very confusing. The names of the ingredients may seem foreign to you. You may wonder what these ingredients do and if they really work. Becoming familiar with some of the ingredients used in these products will help make comparing them easier and less confusing.

Alpha Hydroxy Acids exfoliate dead skin cells from the outer layers of your skin. When dead skin cells build up, it leaves you with a dull complexion. Exfoliating these cells will leave you with younger looking skin.

Alpha Lipoic Acid is one of the strongest antioxidants on the market. It is used in anti aging creams to counteract the damage done by free radicals.

Antioxidants, such as Vitamin A, C and E, are used to protect against the damage done by free radicals. These particles result from the oxidation of cells. Free radicals cause damage to the cells and have a part in the aging process. They are also thought to play a role in certain diseases, such as cancer and heart disease. Antioxidants bind free radicals and stop the damage done by these particles.

Beta Hydroxy Acids work in the same way as Alpha Hydroxy Acids. The main difference is that Beta Hydroxy Acids are less irritating to the skin. Salicylic acid is the most common beta hydroxy acid found in anti aging creams.

Botanicals are plant extracts that are used in many beauty products. Some of the common botanicals found in anti wrinkle creams are ginseng, aloe and gingko. These all have regenerative properties when used on the skin.

Coenzyme 10 is a nutrient found in the cells of the skin. It works to minimize wrinkles.

Collagen is a protein that makes up connective tissue in the body. Skin is made up of about seventy percent collagen. In anti aging creams, this ingredient works to tighten the skin. This helps reduce the appearance of wrinkles and sagging of the skin.

Elastin is a protein found in the skin. It gives the skin its elasticity and resilience. Elastin helps the skin return to its original shape after movements, such as smiling or frowning. Elastin naturally decreases with age. This results in the skin not returning to its original shape and causes smile lines, frown lines, worry lines and crow’s feet. Elastin in anti wrinkle creams helps return elasticity to the skin.

Emollients are used as a moisturizer in skin care products. They are essential for helping the skin retain moisture. Emollients act as a moisture barrier to help prevent moisture loss.

Essential oils are plant oils that are used in skin care products and in aromatherapy. Lavender and chamomile are two essential oils that are used in anti aging creams. These essential oils soothe irritation in the skin.

Retinol is a form of vitamin A that is used in anti aging creams. Retinol helps build and strengthen collagen fibers in the skin. It also exfoliates the skin to help remove dead skin cells.

SPF stands for sun protection factor. This is used in some anti wrinkle creams that are intended to be worn during the day. SPFs help screen out the ultraviolet rays from the sun, which are implicated in premature aging. If your cream doesn’t contain this ingredient, be sure to apply sunscreen when you are going outside.

Learning to read labels will help take the guess work out of purchasing anti aging cream and skin care products. When you know what is in the cream and how the ingredients benefit your skin, it’s easier to find the products that are right for your skin. Reading reviews is another great way to find great products for reducing and preventing wrinkles.

Tell me the steps and procedures to extract the resveratrol from fruits.. And also tell me from which fruits resveratrol getting extract..

A simple method for the quantitative extraction of resveratrol and its glycosides from grape berry skins has been developed. Optimal conditions for the extraction were investigated. Type of solvent, time, and temperature assayed influenced resveratrol and piceid yield. Adequate extraction was attained with ethanol/water (80:20 v/v) maintained at 60 °C for 30 min. Recovery (>96%) and reproducibility (6.83−15.13%) were satisfactory. After extraction, resveratrol and piceid isomers were quantified by high-performance liquid chromatography coupled to a ultraviolet−visible diode array detector.

hey im 18 is it ok to start already like use anti againg cream with a gentle formula
why not? is it bad for my skin at this age??

I thought the same thing when I was 23 to start using the anti-aging creams/ washes/ masque’s etc.

Anti-aging creams are designed for skin cells that are 30 years old or older.

Since your skin cells themselves are only 18 years old (time in the womb doesn’t count) is really a waste of money, because your skin is already in a great condition, they don’t need to be repaired.

If you want to continue to have healthy skin cells…

Keep is clean and protected from the wind, sun, and other outside hazards.

Don’t smoke or drink

Don’t lay out in the sun, or go to tanning salons

And always put SPF 30 or more with UVB and UVA protection.

Always wear large sunglasses and a hat.

These tips will help keep your skin in it most prime state. And you’ll look good, too!

UVA = aging protection
UVB = buring protection

I currently use the regular Oil of Olay cleanser/moisturizer & like them but unfortunately I’m getting older (28) & am noticing those nasty wrinkles – at what age can you start using anti-aging products & do they work?

You really can start whenever you would like. Oil of Olay is made for all generations. I use Olay Definity because it helps soften my face and helps me with the stress wrinkles I have. I am only 19. My sister is 13 and she uses Olay Night Mask cause it helps her with her uneven skin tone and it softens it up for her too. She also likes to use Olay Regenerist because it helps her skin with her egisma. So it doesn’t matter what age you are. And yes it works. I have been using Olay Definity for a few weeks and it has made my face so much smoother and my stress wrinkles are getting smaller.

I just turned 26 and I want to start taking care of my skin. It has always been very good, I’m still very young looking, but I see lots of crows feet and smile lines popping up.

What is a good cream or treatment to help my skin stay young so I don’t get wrinkles in the first place?

Thanks!

Put plain vaseline.
Avoid sun and wear sunblock when going out.
But if you start worrying you won’t enjoy even smiling…
