LOL all right RJ, I have been taking this stuff for a long time, it is good for blood flow, and would be better than viagra for that. I am taking it (thanks to you and your information) for general health, and that 2 ounces a day is like having 44 glasses of wine, and it taste’s very good also, Red wine is good for us, Now I see baba wawa (barbara walters) is saying its the new cure for aging, LOL I do not know about that, but I think she convinced the view crew of that!! I may help her in that she won’t ned yet another face lift!!

if i should what should i use? im talking about stuff like moisturizers. should i use the olay stuff at cvs? will it be too harsh for younger skin?

Start using a daily moisturizer with SPF. Neutrogena protects are great they aren’t too heavy. Sun exposure really contribute to aging. Eat right and don’t smoke.

I used to use Benzamycin for mild acne, but I stopped because it was making my skin really dry. I’m almost 25, and have been using some anti-aging night creams to help prevent wrinkles and keep my skin healthy. The ones I’ve used contain retinol or salicylic & glycolic acid, vitamins, etc. and helped clear my skin. However, lately I have been breaking out and am thinking of going back to the Benzamycin. I only used the Benzamycin at night, and I’m wondering if I could use some sort of anti-aging cream on top of it at night. Has anyone done that? Has anyone used it as a spot-treatment instead of all over the face?

As your acne is mild you can quickly get rid of it permanently with a cure that has helped many on Answers.

If there are people who have experience with both medical clinic for the treatment of facial rejuvenation and fees for cosmetic dermatologist’s facial rejuvenation. Specifically, wished to soften facial wrinkles, improve skin texture, and decrease the prominence of acne scars on both cheeks. Wished to retain facial mobility and expressivity and to achieve a youthful, wide-eyed look. Are there any consultation fees for walk in applicants?

My parents went to the Philippines and got some cosmetic stuff done from Dr. Belo, they didn’t want to tell me how much they spent on them though. You can check out www.belomed.com for some info.

Microdermabrasion, an anti-aging skin treatment, is gaining popularity for its ease of operation and the benefits that it offers. There are many benefits of microdermabrasion. Its procedure has the potential to meet a variety of your cosmetic objectives like the improvement of fine lines, wrinkles, hyper pigmentation, acne, scars and stretch marks.

The microdermabrasion procedure has shown a lot of promise for the treatment of acne scars. Most people have got good results for the microdermabrasion treatment of their acne scars. These positive results have immensely contributed towards the success of microdermabrasion as a skin resurfacing treatment for acne scars.

The best thing about microdermabrasion treatment is that it is a very mild procedure. It scores over both chemical peels and dermabrasion as ablative resurfacing technique by being less traumatic and less time consuming. With microdermabrasion treatment there is no downtime required for the recovery. There are other benefits of microdermabrasion as well. This treatment is a lunch time procedure which you can get done at any out patient’s clinic. The easy to operate procedure can easily be performed at an average skin-enhancement clinic. The procedure uses a closed-loop negative pressure microdermabrasion unit that passes aluminum oxide crystals for abrading the skin under the negative vacuum pressure.

Practical Microdermabrasion Information

The right kind of microdermabrasion information is important before going for this treatment. Microdermabrasion treatment can be used to treat a vast range of skin imperfections. It is especially effective for treating skin aging and photo damage. Microdermabrasion can be used on most skin types and most of the skin disorders like aging skin, wrinkles, acne scars, enlarged pores, rhytides, keratoses, blemished skin, thickened skin and brown spots and pigmentation.

For most skin disorders, a minimum of five treatments is recommended. On average, the frequency of microdermabrasion treatments can vary between 4 to 8 treatments performed with approximately 2 week intervals between each successive procedure. The time interval is necessary for recovering the skin barrier function that is damaged after an aluminum oxide crystal microdermabrasion procedure is performed. Generally, it takes a time period of 1 to 4 days to recover the function and bring about an improvement in the skin tone. Repeating the superficial peeling procedure at 2-week intervals will allow sufficient time for the damaged skin to recover its barrier function. Most patients actually feel and see a difference after just one or two treatments, but scheduling additional treatments helps to increase and maintain the improvement. The skin improvement after microdermabrasion treatment is brought about by stimulation of fibroblast proliferation and collagen production. The new collagen deposition makes the skin smoother and reduces the visibility of skin blemishes.

Microdermabrasion treatment of acne scars requires more intense and aggressive treatment with more passes and more rounds of microdermabrasion treatment to get the best results.

Similarly raised or deeply pitted skin areas (possibly from old severe acne scars) and darker pigmented areas require multiple treatments.

Limitations of Microdermabrasion Procedure

Microdermabrasion is a mild procedure and it cannot be advised for those who have heavily damaged skin for which a more aggressive approach like a laser or a deep chemical peel needs to be tried.

Microdermabrasion is not able to remove tattoos, neither it is able to remove acne scars which are very deep down the skin. Similarly undiagnosed lesions, recent herpes outbreaks, warts, active, weeping acne (stages 3 to 4) and active rosacea are the skin disorders that cannot be treated with microdermabrasion.

Lastly microdermabrasion procedure is not suitable for patients who have had any type of facial rejuvenation procedure or treatment such as Botox injections, collagen implants, or chemical peels within the past 3-6 months.

I am only a teenager, but I was just curious if anti-aging creams, lotions, serums, etc. would be healthy for my skin to use.

These products are just marketing gimmick. Some contains harmful chemicals which can make you feel good for the time being but in longer term have side effects. Aging is a natural process and we must accept this. If you will try to stay fit mentally and physically you will remain energetic for longer age. So the best strategy is live your life Naturally.

Lately I’ve finally gotten my acne under control, but these mysterious dry patches keep showing up. My skin is normal in my T-zone area and outer face, but I am getting dry patches near my mouth. I have tried exfoliating, moisturizing, and have religiously been applying Vaseline to these areas. Occasionally the patches dissapear, but they show up within 1-2 days. It is hard for me to put makeup on now (because it shows up.) I’ve had this for about 6 months now. Please help!

My skin care routine [at night]:
- Cetaphil Gentle Cleanser
- Clean and Clear Daily Scrub; Morning Burst
- (sometimes) Sheer Cover Conditioning Cleanser

- Neutrogena Pore Minimizing Toner
- Clean and Clear Astringent+ Spot treatment

- Cetaphil Moisturizing Lotion
- Neutrogena Anti-wrinkle Cream (night)
- Vaseline
+ Topical Medication (sulfur?)

Is it eczema? A dermatologist could give a diagnosis.

If so, less is more when treating it, because your skin is extra sensitive to dyes, fragrances and chemicals.

Sometimes skin irritations like patches, rashes, etc… are an indication of an allergy or sensitivity to something. It could be a response to one of the products you’re using. Food and environmental allergies are a factor as well. Stress can also trigger skin reactions.

It helps to apply a moisturizer to your face while it’s wet. It absorbs better that way.

What one would you spend your money on for skin rejuvenation?

What are the benefits and drawbacks of both?

I wouldn’t spend my money on neither. I wouldn’t want to pick my skin through a harsh process like that. Instead I use NutriMIN-C RE9. This is a natural product that has worked miracles on me and so many others I know. Check the website: http://www.naturalsafebeneficial.myarbonne.com/
I know you will have many inquiries so please feel free to contact me to discuss them.

Laser resurfacing, also known as “laser peels”, is a way of the removing the wrinkles from the face. A carbon dioxide (CO2) laser is used in this process. Less bleeding, bruising and post-operative discomforts are a few features of the laser resurfacing technique.

Depending on the facial scars and the uneven pigmentation, the laser can be applied on the face or on the specific areas. The laser technique is best for removing the fine lines near the mouth and the eyes.

Unlike other non-surgical cosmetic processes, the laser peel is generally for the outpatients and when it is combined with similar other surgical procedures, a hospitalization is required. The sole laser resurfacing technique is an hour-long process.

A beam of laser is applied to the damaged layers of the facial skin and it vaporizes the specific layer at a regulated level of penetration.

The outer layer of the damaged skin is removed. After that, new cells will form in the healing process. This new skin is smoothing in effect with shines and youthful luster.

The laser technique has two parts: medium level resurfacing and deeper resurfacing. Medium laser peel involves applying limited laser to the epidermis and papillary dermis, while in case of the deeper laser peel the outer layer of the reticulas dermis is removed.

This process does have certain disadvantages also. Your skin will be extremely sensitive to the sun in the first 2 to 4 weeks of the healing process; your skin would be pink or red that may persist for up to 6 months, after which your original pigmentation would return, but the effect is long lasting after the treatment. You can enjoy the wrinkle free skin for a considerable period.

This method is mostly opted one by the surgeons, though it may not be for each patient. Similar other techniques like dermabrasion or chemical peel can be effectively applied.

Now one possible question may come to your mind. Who is the best candidate for laser resurfacing?

Those having the olive skin, brown skin or black skin are very much prone to have a change in the pigmentation. It hardly matters for them which laser peeling method is applied to them. Therefore, this is the vital task to identify your skin first and the surgeons usually do this at the outset. Those with the skin infections also are not to be subjected to laser peels.

As such, the laser resurfacing can be frequented for the sake of your skin rejuvenation. Just have it on your crumpled skin and get yourself reinstated.
